imagina created the ad series that defined Dakota store's vision of high-quality authenticity in their clothing and housewares.
Ads featured ample white space and minimal text in the form of quotes rather than merchandising copy. Items were shot in black and white, simply lit and styled to produce a feeling more sculptural than traditional retail. The event invitation (center/bottom) was for a benefit co-sponsored by Dakota and Portland Art Museum.
